I'm back!!!

Wow. So I've seen how long its been since I lasted posted on here. Things have been pretty hectic for me so I have strayed away from my blog. I'm (sadly) still pregnant lol and so close to having this girl. But most of my life has sorted itself out which has freed up my time a little bit. I know on my last post I said I was starting completely over in my studies. And I've recently been able to start it up again. So far I'm sticking to taking notes while I read through all of my books.

Once I've read through all the books I currently have I'm going to organize my notes into the correct category and start working on making my B.O.S. I've got a decent little list going and plan on using a 3 ring binder as my book seeing as it gives me the option to add, subtract, or shuffle around my notes and whatnot.

In my personal life: We had to set the wedding date back due to financial complications at the time. I'm getting hitched in January of 2014 and I can't wait :) Things are slowly starting to come together and I'm so excited to be back on the blogging scene lol.

I hope to start back on my pagan postings and have little information tidbits to share with you all.

Hopefully the next time you hear from me I'll have had this baby!!!!

Starting fresh

Well lately things have calmed down for me as far as being pregnant and wedding planning. Thank Goodness!!!!! But seeing as they have calmed somewhat I think I may now have time to focus on my spirituality more. I'm just going to completely wipe everything I've read so far and just start over from scratch.

I'm hoping to find a teacher that could help me. Someone I'd trust and won't spew bogus random nonsense at me. In the meantime I'm going to read and read and then read some more!!!! I have a small somewhat decent collection of books and I'm going to start reading them again just as soon as I can.


In other news I just ordered my wedding invitations!!! I'm so very happy about this and its got the color I wanted. I'm a little behind on the invitations but I thankfully can hand deliver most of the invitations. Saves me on stamps! LOL. Also the pregnancy is going really good as well :) Little girl is coming along just fine and her daddy got to feel her kicking :D

Well I hope to start posting about all my witchy learning's as the happen so make sure to continue following this blog  ;) And have a good week!

Obstacles

So things for me are slowing down quite a bit. I have come to a complete halt on wedding planning which isn't such a good thing seeing as how close October is... My novel is slow right now because I'm too pre- occupied getting my house ready for the arrival of the new baby and also trying to reign in my two year old. Neither of which is easy lol.

As for spirituality, that is at a dead stop right now and has been for some time. Since I discovered that I was pregnant. I haven't done much spiritually and its kinda leading me in a down-spiral right now :( I hope things can return to normal after the baby is born, although it may be awhile before it does... I've been wondering if I'd still be more spiritually active if I had stayed in my coven... But there is no way to know for sure.

My business I had hoped to start never took off and I think that's maybe for the best, I mean so far my passion has been writing and I've been trying my damnedest to keep at it and so far have accomplished that :)

For those of you interested in my writing blog let me know and I will be sure to post it next time.

Flowers and Girl

Well I'm happy to announce that I'm going to be having an adorable baby girl!!!!!! My fiancé and I are extremely thrilled :). My lil boy is going to wind up being a very protective brother lol. We have decided to decorate the room half and half. They will have to share a room until we can add on to our house.

Another plus is I got ALL of the bouquet stuff taken care of. Have all of the stuff needed for both myself and my bridesmaids!!! We already have our venue and due to an amazing friend we are getting it totally free. I'm very happy with everything that is happening right now.

My son is going to start his pre-school next month which gives me more free time. I'm hoping to either continue school, or get a part-time job. Maybe try to re-start my business if I'm able to. I have a few hobbies that I'd like to turn into something more. Photography is one. I want to try my hand at writing. I've written a few poems and actually got some constructive criticism from a high school teacher a few years back. I might eventually try to write a book, although I'm not sure what I would want to write about....

If any of you following this are writers, maybe give me some tips??? I'd really appreciate it :D

Big News!

So a lot has gone on since I last wrote on here. My decision to start my own business isn't going to well. Haven't had much of a chance to really get it started. Turns out being pregnant requires my full attention lol. I actually feel kind of weird that I haven't put forth much effort on my path since I've been pregnant. Well that and having to constantly clean due to having a toddler doesn't help either...

In more recent news.... I'm getting MARRIED!!!!! My fiancé and I decided we want to be married before the baby arrives. And for many other reasons... We are getting married THIS October!! It's going to be a small wedding with maybe 100 guests... And most of it is DIY projects. So I'll be posting quite a few wedding posts for a little while lol.

I just picked up bouquets for my bridesmaids, they are fake flowers because its cheaper that way and at least they have a memento from the wedding :) I'm finishing buying flowers tomorrow. Gotta love half off sales!!!! Its turning out to be a pretty good week for me. I FINALLY got to get out to stores and found the items I need, and tomorrow I go in to hopefully find out if I'm having a girl or a boy.

The real fun part is going to try to find a dress that I can wear in October cause I'm going to be 8 months pregnant lol.

Starting my own business?

Hello all my witchies who read this!!!!! :D I'm happy to say I'm almost done with my 1st trimester of pregnancy! Thank goodness lol, so tired of feeling nauseous all the time... But anyway I managed to get my first batch of orange scented oil bottled, and am currently working on my second batch right now.

Anyway the whole point of this post is I've been giving some thought to starting my own business, which would most likely just be an online thing. I've had this idea for a few years and am just now able to act on it. I hope to sell things I make myself and I hope for it to be geared towards my fellow pagans and really anyone that takes an interest in it. I hope to get it started very soon and hope that it takes off really well. For me, doing this has a lot of advantages. It allows me to continue to be a stay at home mother while still helping bring in some income. And I like the added perks of helping out all of my fellow pagans!!!!

Too Long

Well I would like to start off apologizing to everyone for how inactive I have been over the past month :( I feel super crappy about it. A lot has been going on for me and for awhile there I couldn't remember my damn password for here lol.

I'd like to start off saying my pregnancy is going pretty good so far :) just trying to battle the nausea, and so far its definitely been a battle lol. I'm not as far as I had originally thought. I'm almost into week 10. Managed to get an ultrasound picture of my little peanut :D On a not so happy note, I decided to go solitary for awhile. It's not that I wasn't happy with my coven, I just have so much going on that I never made meetings and such. It was my decision to leave, but I think its for the best for now.

I'm currently battling my house to get and keep it clean lol XD. So far I'm the one kicking ass and I plan on keeping it that way!!!

My Blessing

Well I have super exciting news!!! The God and Goddess have blessed me with another child :) I am 7 weeks and couldn't be happier. I'm going to actually enjoy this pregnancy. I didn't get to with my first and am really bothered by that fact :(

I'm currently looking into midwives, birthing centers, and water births. All three of these have caught my interest and I hope to have my baby completely natural this time. I've watched a documentary about home/ water births and it is really informative. I recommend any women who is thinking about the same thing should check it out. It's called The Business of Being Born.

Hello, and Blessed Ostara to everyone that is reading this!!!! :D I was hoping to post this yesterday but I was too busy doing ritual and getting some serious cleaning done lol. I'm going to include some info about Ostara and hope you all enjoy it!!!





Ostara (March 21st), the spring Equinox, also called Eostra's Day, marks the first day of true spring. On Ostara the hours of night and day are equal. This is always a good time to plant seeds for your garden. If you have an altar and wish to decorate it, you may want to get a cloth that represents spring. I have a light blue one myself. Green, light blue, yellow, pink, these would be good colors.

You can put items on the altar that represent spring. Fresh flowers, branches from budding trees, symbols of spring fertility. Eggs are a really good representation of spring. Crystals you could use are, amethyst, rose quartz, pale aquamarines, and moonstones. Some incense include; jasmine, nutmeg, cinnamon, and frankincense. Some good food for Ostara include: bread, fresh greens, beans, and of course EGGS!!!!!!
    

There are also many activities you can do on Ostara, they are really fun and great to do if you have kids. You can bake some bread, string up plastics egg as a garland over your door, you do this by drilling a small whole in the eggs. You can dye your eggs and decorate them however you wish. You can plant a few seeds either indoor or outdoors. Taking a walk in nature is always fun :D

Second thoughts??

So I recently started my studies, taught by someone I consider a good friend :). As I've been going through my studies I've been having second thoughts about the path I've chosen. I've been more fixated on a Kemetic-- Egyptian oriented path. I figures since I've been practically obsessed with Ancient Egypt since I can remember, that it was the path I should follow... But as of lately I'm still wanting to go back to a Celtic path.

When I first began reading about paganism and Wicca, the Celtic path has always held an interest for me. And now its seem to be calling me again. I think that I'm going to continue on the Celtic path, but for right now I'm going to concentrate on my studies. I'm sure I will find someone who will love to obtain the Egyptian themed items I have now, or I can always keep them around the house as decorations. :D

I WILL still be doing my tarot posts, and will continue to use my Egyptian Deck for now. I hope those of you that have been reading these posts enjoy them :)

Well its been a whole week since I've posted and I've actually had a lot going on. I've cut some people out of my life and that has eased up my stress A LOT. I'm currently hoping to hear some good news by the end of the week. I just recently started my "pagan" studies and am enjoying it so far.

But anyway I'll get straight to the tarot card interpretation :D

Long Weekend

So I know I haven't posted in awhile, and yes I am fully aware that I missed another tarot card post. I've actually had a really long and interesting weekend. To start it off, on Friday my guy bought me a brand new awesome camera :D and it came with a memoray card lol. On Saturday I spent the day with my mother, and in the evening we went to 1,001 nights of divination. Its an event held here in Tulsa. You can get tarot readings done, henna, you can buy things, and there is music and food, and also belly dancing!

I got a taort reading done and also some henna :) My reading was very accurate and I was very happy with it. The henna I got was a little yin-yang symbol on my hand. It's actually still there, though it s fading. I didn't get to see the dancers cause my mother had another party to go to that same night, but I enjoyed what I did and will defientely be going again next time.

I got to order a few things offline as another gift :) I bought $40 worth of items lol. They are all gorgeuous and I love the website. It's http://www.13moons.com/ and they have a wide selection of items. Everything came in on time and nothing was damaged. They even gave me a lil extra something :).

On Sunday, I went on a family zoo trip and had the time of my life, as did my son. I took my new camera with me and took a bunch of photos. I winded up getting home pretty late :). All of this was done before my actual birthdate lol. Monday passed and I didn't do anything on my birthday because of my fun filled weekend. However this entire time I was dealing with a very upset and teething baby. He wasn't feeling any better by Tuesday so I skipped trying to do my weekly post. He is doing much better now and I will be making sure to post the card on next Tuesday :) I also am now the proud owner of a nook first edition lol.

Also I JUST started a youtube channel for anyone that is interested. I'll be adding it to the bottom of this post. It's my first attempt at a video and of course I sound like I'm 13 even though I just turned 21 lol.

Well it's Tuesday, which means it time for the weekly tarot card interpretation!!!!! :D

I've had a lot happen recently and wanted to make sure I didn't skip this again, however I did wait till later to do this...

Well this week's tarot card is....

The Ten of Wands



This card indicates a stare of overwhelming oppression. The taking on of more responsibilities than one is successfully able to cope with. There is overbearing pressure from above. Victimization and persecution. Desire for release from the excessive burden of commitments. Resources are spread too extensively to be effective. This leads to a loss of control. There is an urgent need for delegation - if this is not fully addressed it will eventually lead to downfall. Whatever the cause may be, the card suggests a loss of control over one's life or surroundings.

OK so I just recently saw the video about Fox News "bashing/ attacking" the pagan community. This has greatly offended the pagan community, and when you see the video you will understand why. I'm going to post the link before I continue with what my view is on the whole matter. So please watch before you continue reading...

Alright, so I totally understand why everyone is getting so upset at this. It is extremely offensive, when I saw it I did get upset about what was said. Now this is where a LOT of people are going to disagree with me... I think that the pagan community needs to seriously just let this one go. The "journalists" are CLEARLY  uneducated in the pagan lifestyle, why in the hell should we care what they have to say. Yes this can be miss-informing people that know nothing about paganism, but those people should be educated enough to actually do some research. The Fox News cast don't know what the hell they are talking about because they didn't bother to research or to talk to actual members of the pagan community. We don't have 20 holidays, we have 8.

There is a petition going around to have Fox News publicly apologize for what they said. JUST LET IT GO!!!!!! There is no guarantee that they will apologize, and we can't force the to. If it wasn't them bashing us, it would have just been someone else. We can't MAKE the world accept us. If we try to then we are no better than anyone else out there who tries to force people to acknowledge their religion and lifestyle. We can't make everyone that bashes us publicly apologize.

I think we need to not give a damn what people think of our lifestyle. I sure don't care what people think of mine. They haven't walked in my shoes or in my path so why would their opinion matter??

For those of you who have read this and decide you want to sign the petition, I will be including it in my blog, but I personally will not bother with it. There is no reason to, like I stated above, we can't force everyone who bashes us to apologize.

Very fun day

Well my day has been pretty good, and no I'm not saying this because its Valentine's Day. I actually haven't really celebrated this day. My guy and I did that yesterday, and we each had separate plans for today.

I got to go visit with a few of my pagan friends today :D.  We just sat around and talked for a bit. I'm getting to borrow a book on candle magic. I'm very excited and can't wait to read it. I've also acquired another tarot deck. It is the Universal Transparent Tarot and it looks really awesome!

I've heard from a friend that it can be difficult to read, but I hope to somewhat master it lol. I'm still new to tarot so it will be awhile before I'm any good anyways lol. I also was given a little bottle with grape seed oil in it. Since I am still very new to paganism in general I'm not really sure what it can be used for lol. I will be looking through my books and other reputable sources to see what it can be used for.

And I'm very excited about a side project that I will be doing within the week. There is a blog about how to make rose water, and since I have roses that sadly wont last :( I figured I could put the petals to good use :) Any roses that I don't use for my rose water will most likely be preserved in a book :)

Week 3 Tarot Card!!!!

Well it is now my week 3 card interpretation, technically it is supposed to be week for but I for got last week :(. Any way before I jump into that I wanted to say I've finally been able to read my new book that I got in from amazon :) I just started it though and haven't had much time to sit down and seriously read. After I'm done with my post today I'm going to crack down on cleaning AGAIN. After I finally had a clean house I got sick real bad and it got trashed again. Only my luck lol.

And now to reveal this weeks card *dramatic music*

The card of the week is the Two of Disks.




This is a card of change and flow. It is the change that brings stability, as a gyroscope which holds its position only when spinning. The change is harmonious and may extend from generation to generation. It is continuity through time. A chain of ideas or wealth passing down through the ages. Also indicated is the idea of juggling, keeping many projects up in the air at the same time, perhaps to the extent that resources are stretched too thinly.

I would like to apologize to the people that read my blogs. I missed this weeks blog post on the tarot card. :( I had gotten sick on Monday and have still been feeling a little crappy and did not even realize that it was freaking Thursday until like a minute ago.... I will be skipping this week it looks like and shall try to be back for next Tuesday's post.

Happy Imbolc

Happy Imbolc everyone!!!!!!!! Hope it has been an amazing day for you all!!!

My Imbolc was filled with a lot of activities. I got to go enjoy lunch with my mother and siblings. I got to make my first wand as well :D. I will share pictures, keep in mind this is my first so its a little strange lol. I went to the local pagan store and bought a few items. I bought a pendulum as well. Its my first one and I've been carrying it around the rest of the days to get it used to my energies.

I did my first ever solitary Imbolc ritual. I've never done a solitary one because I usually do the Sabbats with my coven. I was a little nervous when I first started, but I was feeling ecstatic by the end of it. All around I think it was a good ritual. I meditated for a few minutes before ending the ritual. I can't wait until I do my next ritual.

I also made a wand for each of my sisters because they really wanted one lol. It was a nice little arts and craft project for the three of us to enjoy. The pagan store where I get most of my supplies is Earth and Soul, and I absolutely love that place and the people who work there. They are all super nice and really helpful.

As you can probably see I had a really good day lol. I'm very into divination and hope to become better practiced in that area.

Well Imbolc is fast approaching (Feb. 2) and I personally feel completely unprepared. Due to some recent room changes I no longer have an altar set up :( . Which may be the better idea for now until I have sufficient room to have my altar as well as room to cast a circle. For those who are not pagan or are new to it, I'm going to write a little bit about what Imbolc is, well for me anyway... You're view may be different from mine...

Imbolc is a festival of lights, and also of fertility, new beginnings, etc. It is the festival of the lactating sheep. It is derived from the Gaelic word "oimelc" which means "ewes milk".  This is a time of blessing the seeds for gardening and consecration of tools. The altar cloth should be of colors that remind you of the warmth of the sun. Some herbs you could add are: Basil, Blackberry, and also an assortment of white or yellow flowers. You may want to incorporate a large amount of candles as it is The Festival of Lights. I prefer to use tealights as they are smaller and you can add a whole bunch. I added crushed red pepper to my altar as well, I got that little bit of info from my teacher :) she is a really big help to me lol. Basil and Bay are some incense you can use as well. A lot of people like to include a Brighid's Cross since she is most celebrated on this day :)..
Some colors you could incorporate are gold, red, yellow, and sometimes white.

I'm including a recipe that is from my Witches' Datebook for 2013.

Imbolc: Candlelight Lemon Dessert
 1 cup of flour
1/2 cup of butter
1/2 cup of finely chopped walnuts or hazelnuts
2 cups of frozen non-dairy whipped cream topping, divided
1 cup of powdered sugar
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
6oz. instant lemon pudding mix
3 cups of whole milk

Several hours before serving:  Combine flour, butter, and chopped nuts. Press into a 9 x 13 glass pan. Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees F; cool.
 Combine 1 cup of the whipped topping, powdered sugar, cream cheese, and a dash of salt. Spread over the cooled crust. Chill for 15 minutes.
Combine the pudding mixes and milk; beat for about 2 minutes. Pour over the chilled mixture in the pan. Chill for 30 minutes. Top with extra 1 cup of whipped topping. Garnish with nuts or thin lemon slices as desired. Cover tightly and chill several hours before serving. (Garnish is optional).

Oh my goodness!!! I just realized it is Tuesday!! I almost forgot about this weeks Tarot card lol. Sorry about that I've been kinda outta of it today. Well before I dive into the tarot card I did want to say IT RAINED!!!! Yay :D that makes me happy, I've been waiting on some rain. I took a jar outside and left it out there all day to collect rainwater. I read in my datebook on the many different uses you can have with rainwater. I didn't manage to get a lot in there but I got a decent amount.

The Star suggests above all the idea of hope. No matter how bad things may appear, there will always be hope that provides the strength to keep going. Nothing lasts forever, eventually things will improve. There is the ability to stand firm against adversity. The Star is the light at the end of the tunnel, truth unveiled. It represents optimism.

 

The card suggests the calm after the storm. The air is fresh and cleansed of the burden of the past. This is a time when one's thoughts become clear after a period of confusion. It offers the promise of a brighter future. Confidence is renewed Fulfilment. New and wider horizons are in sight.

My fun weekend

Well it has been a good past couple of days :). I spent the weekend hanging out with family and friends. I went to a thrift store and got two very gorgeous skirts that totally seem like me!!! They are going to be perfect for the summer and I'll probably be spending most of my summer wearing them lol. I went to a used bookstore here in Tulsa and bought a few good books. Two are part of a series and the other is another book on tarot!!!!!

If you are curious to the book series, the author is Laurie faria Stolarz. Its the Blue is for Nightmare series. They are really good. I have Blue is for Nightmares, Silver is for Secrets, and Red is for Remembrance.  I've think they are fairly good lol, I'm a pretty big book nerd :).

I've been working on my tarot readings and so far I have been doing pretty good. I've been doing a daily reading for myself and they are turning out to be correct. I love this deck very much and am extremely grateful to the person who gave it to me. She has been very helpful to me anytime I've talked to her, and I consider her my teacher :D.

I've had a pretty good past couple of days. I got all of my springing cleaning done, so I can now focus on doing some "magickal" spring cleaning. I plan on getting all of my altar tools cleansed and consecrated in time for Imbolc, on the Sabbat I will be doing a dedication ritual(looking forward to that) :). I am also going to be making a new House Protection Jar. I figured with me living a house with my man,and my son, it seems like a good idea to make a new one. If you would like the copy that I am using for my jar let me know and I can email it to you.It has seemed to work for me so far. I still need to decorate my altar for the upcoming Sabbat, and when I do I will be uploading pictures for sure :).

Today I did a daily tarot spread, and I'm pleased to say it turned out pretty good :). I'm trying to them at least every other day or so, which is helping me to read and understand my cards better.I'm taking time out of the day to learn a card a day without having to look at my book. So far its a little difficult, but I will persevere. I just ordered a book off of amazon that I hope will be a great help to me seeing as I am still new to my path.

For those of you that don't know my path, I'm turning towards an Egyptian path, I have been interested in Ancient Egypt since I was a little girl, I had an art teacher that had us making "Egyptian" crafts for a week( best week EVER). Right now my Matron Goddess is Isis, and my Patron God is Anubis. I'm still very new to this path but I have a family member that is also following this path and she has been at this a lot longer than me lol. Week 1 Card

**Merry Meet**

I have decided to do a tarot card interpretation on here. I have an Ancient Egyptian deck so that is the one I'll be using. I will be doing these weekly until I have gone through the whole deck of cards. Today's card is..... The High Priestess



This card suggests that insight into problems produce a solution. Hidden knowledge. A change for the better. The favorable influence of a woman. Intuition and psychic experiences. Purity. Imagination, dreams, perhaps sometimes even nightmares. Hypnosis. Spiritual rather than mundane interests. The High Priestess is the bride before the wedding.

Keep in mind this is from MY deck and these are the interpretations from the book. Hope you all enjoyed the first tarot card for the first week, these will be done very Tuesday and I hope everyone looks forward to seeing them.

**Merry Meet**

I'm writing this blog as I continue on down my Pagan path. I will be writing in here quite frequently, including on Sabbats. I'm still very new to my path so if something is written wrong please KINDLY correct me on this and don't go all crazy nazi on me!!!! I have recently gotten a permanent altar set up and I'm following an Egyptian path. My matron goddess is Isis, my God s none other than Anubis. I have had a connection with Egypt ever since I can remember, so following this path just seemed right to me.

 I just recently got my Anubis statue in the mail and am happy to have him. However, I will not be using UPS anymore. When I got my statue he had a broken hand! He currently has a duct-tape "bracelet" until I can get some super glue for him. However he seems happy on my altar and I intend to keep him. I've recently gotten into divination, I have an Ancient Egyptian tarot deck that I'm learning to read and intterpret. I hope to get a pendulum soon too. There is a store in town called Earth and Soul and I love shopping there for all my pagan needs. I've gotten most of my items from there. If any of you live here in Oklahoma you should definitely come down and see them.
